You don’t have to be Bear Grylls…St John’s Scout Group is looking for volunteers to help run our Beaver colonies. As well as giving the young people in our community skills for life, you’ll benefit from the feel-good factor of challenging yourself both physically and mentally – leaders get the opportunity to learn a whole host of new skills, from axe-throwing and abseiling to fire-lighting and zorbing. You don’t need prior experience or any specific skills; training is given and can be fitted around your existing commitments – meetings taking place once a week after school during term-time. You’ll be welcomed into our fun and friendly leadership team, who will support you as you learn what being a Beaver leader is all about.
